The building that now houses Mrs. Q's began life as a private home, in fact it was the first home on this end of town and was actually outside the city limits.  Somewhere in the early 50's  it was converted into a lumber broker's Office.  In the later 50's, it became a restaurant known as McKuen's.  Not too many years later the Ingram's, Gene and Edith, bought the restaurant and renamed it Ingram's Drive Inn.

It operated successfully except for a short stint under  the  name  "Keith's",  until  June, 1989, when we purchased it. We continued under the Ingram name until January, 1991 when we renamed it Mrs. Q's Home Cookin'.  In April, 1992, a change of ownership of sorts occurred, when my wife at that time decided that she no longer wished to operate a restaurant.  I then changed the name of the restaurant to it's current name of Mrs. Q's Restaurant.  I have had Linda in my life since June 19, 1993 and although she works elsewhere, she is still a valuable part of the operation.  In June of 1999, we paid off the mortgage on the business and equipment and we are currently working on the purchase of the property. The building is old and probably should be torn down, but she is home and she is held together with a lot of love and hard work.  Our employees, nine of them, work together like a fine old watch.  Just a little cleaning and winding keeps the food flowing out to the customers.  We serve only breakfast and lunch, so we are able to close at 2:00 P.M. every day, yes we are open seven days.  We close just two days of the year and they are Thanksgiving and Christmas.  So when you are hungry and in the Medford, Oregon area give us a try, I am sure you will be delighted.
